Re-writing a song? Subject ideas?

I need to re-write one of my songs-it was originally called Homewrecker and it was about loving someone and wanting to be with them but not going through with it because you dont want to destroy their family life. Its piano based, but its not a romantic type song - its quite strong. Theres no drums, just electric guitar going through the whole song. But im re-recording it, and I wanted to change the entire feeling of the song so that i sing it differently - Can anyone give me some ideas on subjects - or anything that would help. Its just that now iv got the song, i can come up with anything new by myself. ThanksIf u r looking for lyrics or name of a particular song or any other information on music http://downloadmusic-online...... - 2008-10-15

 Library for xeroxed articles?

Okay, I've asked this before... I've got a group of articles, maybe 200 or so, that I've xeroxed and I use repeatedly over the years as reference. I'm looking for some way to organize all of these. It's been suggested to go digital with an on-line service -- a great idea-- but for now I don't have time to get all these articles scanned and they are not online (I'm not the author, these are articles I've used for research for my own publications). So I'm seeking suggestions on how to order these articles now, and when I have time to get them scanned I'll look into it. ...... - 2008-10-15

Vet Quote: It's not the quantity of protein in food that's important, it's the quality?

I'm a student Vet Nurse, we're currently covering the importance of good nutrition. My Lecturer (Veterinary Surgeon) Said a lot of people when buying dog food say things like "Well it's got X% protein, so you know it's good." But she disagrees, she says it's not the quantity, it's QUALITY of that protein that's important. Your thoughts on this? How can you be sure it's of good quality? She's right. It's always about quality. Protein is made of many amino acids. Some of them are not as good as the others. There is such things as low and high-grade protein.Good quality protein comes from pure meat sources: whole meats, whole eggs, etc. If it says "chicken" or "beef" or "lamb" as the firs...... - 2008-10-15

Can someone tell me a good Marilyn Monroe quote?

I love a natural look in pictures. I like people with a feeling one way or another - it shows an inner life. I like to see that there's something going on inside them. My problem is that I drive myself... I'm trying to become an artist, and to be true, and sometimes I feel I'm on the verge of craziness, I'm just trying to get the truest part of myself out, and it's very hard. There are times when I think, 'All I have to be is true'. But sometimes it doesn't come out so easily. I always have this secret feeling that I'm really a fake or something, a phony. [on living with the Bolenders when she was a little girl] They were terribly strict. They didn't mean any harm . . . it was their re...... - 2008-10-15

I need help on my paper. I'm writing a paper on The Catcher in the Rye?

I'm writing about teenage communication and Holden's anger, sexuality, loneliness and lying. Can some please read what I have so far and tell me any suggestions and also a suggestion on a conclusion In J.D. Salinger’s Catcher in the Rye, the motifs of sexuality, lying, loneliness and anger color a story of defiance, helping the reader to understand why young adults have felt drawn to the novel since its first appearance over fifty years ago. The book’s main character, Holden Caulfield, explores the hypocrisy and the ugliness of a postwar, adult world ridden with contradictions. Written in the 1950s, the story relates to the post-World War II era and to Salinger’s complicated youth. Caulfield, also the narrator of the nove...... - 2008-10-15

I need help writing an unskilled, just really starting classes, IT cover letter.?

Plain and simple. I'm would like to attend an IT event that will have a lot of IT professionals. I would like to attend, to do a little networking. The problem is, I just really started school. Not just started, but I'm not in my main IT classes yet. I'm currently just starting my web design part of my classes. What I want to do is portray that I can volunteer myself to help me get on the job experience. And they would really have to work around my schedule because I'm 33yo, and have a fulltime swing shift, machine operating job, that has nothing to do with my schooling. How can I come across doing this in a cover letter?...... - 2008-10-15

Jews and those who love them, have you read this article and been touched by it? ?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081012/ap_o...Thanks for the article. Yes it touched me.great story...i have read of cory ten boom running into a familiar face of a gaurd who had been horrible in the camp she was at...she likewise decided to forgive...there is more freedom in letting things go than incubating hate, i am glad they found the love and comfort for a lifetime that meant so much in the hardest of days...I agree, it's a heart warming story! My own dear aunt was in Auschwitz camp during WWII and survived, but was never able to have children because of the hideous experiments she suffered. Thanks so much for sharing that story! EDIT: Just checking back out of curiosity and wondering why anyone would give me a thumbs down f...... - 2008-10-15

What is a hook? (which is used in writing)?

I forgot. Hehe.. ^_^;A bit of intrigue that keeps the reader interested. example: (at the end of a chapter)...He caught a glimpse of a red stiletto...he'd knew he'd seen those shoes/that knife before...but where?Books- http://hudzila.org/A hook is a phrase or line which grabs the reader's attention and really peaks their curiosity. ex: Larry kicked open the dusty door. Cautiously stepping inside, he stepped on a child's ball and fell flat on his face. Grumbling, Larry pushed himself up. A toddler appeared in front of him for a second, and then vanished.a hook is generally the first sentance in the introductory paragraph that is used to "reel in" the reader; it's a way to make the reader want to keep reading ...... - 2008-10-15

Did I offend this girl in my creative writing class or am I being paranoid?

Ok, so I'm taking my first creative writing class ever. There's this girl that sits in the back corner that kind of keeps to herself and doesn't say much. Then, our professor told us we had to choose a partner and switch stories with them and continue their story where they left off on it. So we partnered up. I was wowed because she did a really great job continuing my story. So I started a conversation with her after class telling her what a great job she did. Then we started talking about writing, comic books, our jobs, hobbies, etc. Our professor overheard our conversation and mentioned that my classmate had done a really good job with her last story and talked about how funny it was. So I asked her if she woul...... - 2008-10-15

Writing the music for a song?

I'm really good at writing lyrics to a song, but i have no idea how to put music with it. I can somtimes imagine tunes that could go well with it, but can never really find them. What should i do?I'm the exact opposite of that. I can write music, but have never been really good with words. I usually hear a melody in my head and build a chord progression around the melody. It also helps to know as much music theory as possible seeing as how it opens doors to chord usage and variation. In your case, I would take the lyrical feel of the song and try to come up with a melody that fits the mood of the lyrics and then find chords that fit the melody. -Jasonput chords together until they flow with the lyrics...... - 2008-10-15

Any tips for writing with a feather quill pen ?

I own a feather quill pen and Dragon's Blood ink, and the ink is a little thin, and it doesn't stay on the pen to write with it. I know you have to constantly dip the pen into the ink, but it just won't hold up. Am I doing something wrong ? Do I have to let the ink sit for a little while to "thicken" so I can write with it ? None of these items came with instructions, and were purchased in a New Age Pagan Store. P.S. : Please don't tell me to do a Google search for it, because I did. Thank you for any and all help ! :)If it's a powdered ink mix just mix it a little thick, or look for ink recipes on the web or try to find ink for fountain pens. I have used a quill for writing in the past, and have used a ho...... - 2008-10-15

 Help with poetry!!!!!!!?

I wrote this poem a while ago and I need some feedback on it. Comments are greatly appreciated: Bobby was a boy, Who wanted the best things in life, But sometimes the best things don’t come, With heartache and strife. Bobby only wanted to be normal, Just like the other boys, He wanted to run free of troubles, And be only filled with joy. That day that his guardian told him, That he had been hit with a deadly disease, His momma cried and hit the floor in pain, And he got down on his knees and said, Momma don’t worry, Momma it’s alright, It will all be better soon, Momma don’t you cry. It’s been six months since that date, When Bobby heard the news, But since then his disease had worsen, And he was just...... - 2008-10-15

What Do you honestly think of this?????------ POETRY?

Your Love Spell each moment that i had looked into your eyes i saw, i saw the kindness i had delved for, i saw love and kindness, beauty and faith, but what was to be love was only a lie, you had broken my trust, you had broken my love for you, every thing we had was gone in a minute, i trusted you and got pain in return, how could you love her when you loved me, how could you tell me so many lies and made me presuppose, i loved you dearly, you calmed to love me, you had hypnotist me, you'd cast me in your love spell, but now i know one plus one doesn't always equal two, and some times love is just merely pain under a mask use better descriptive words like gazed. If you have to look up some vocabulary. change...... - 2008-10-15
